How We Care for Your Personal Information

We do not sell personal information about you to anyone.

Your personal information is restricted to employees who need access in order to provide service to you. Employees who deal with personal information are trained to adhere to strict confidentiality standards and any employee who knowingly violates these standards is subject to disciplinary action.

We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards designed to protect personal information about our members.

Information We Collect:

In order to process applications and provide health plan services, we collect information that may not be publicly available. Examples of this information are member names and addresses, social security numbers, and, in some instances, health status.

How we Share Information:

We share personal information with outside companies and other third parties only in limited circumstances. We use outside companies to perform services such as printing, marketing our services, and processing internal transactions. We may disclose information about you in order to complete these transactions on your behalf. We select those we work with very carefully, and we generally provide only such member information as is absolutely essential to complete the required work. When we do share information, we require that it be kept confidential and that it be used only as we have authorized – it may not be shared with others without our express consent.

We share personal information with government agencies when required by law to do so.

Correcting Information:

We take care to ensure that the personal information we collect is accurately recorded and is kept current. We have internal procedures that permit us to correct any errors that are brought to our attention. Please contact us if you identify incorrect information.
